We have always had a horse or 2 around the farm, in 2004
when a friend was liquidating his horses we expanded to buying, breeding, and selling a few horses. We
love our horses and enjoyed breeding them but due to the slump in the
horse market and increased feed and care costs, breeding horses is just not
practical. The horse market is saturated and breeding more
horses without a market demand for them is just irresponsible
breeding at this time. We have reduced our horse
inventory to just a few of our favorites. We have a neighbor girl that
works with our horses on a regular basis and is involved with
4H, she is showing them at small local horse shows and has
joined a drill team with one of them. |
